What's going on with Larry Parr...

Last weekend I went to Kingman, Arizona, again. On Friday, after 5 hours of driving, I went to the DMV and after an hour I got my brother's Suburban transfered into my name.
Then, on Saturday, I drove the 70 miles to my brother's place and tried to change the flat tire on his Suburban -- which turned out to be far more difficult that I ever imagined. However, after about 4 hours the tire was finally changed.
The last time I was in Arizona, I thought I might have found a dinosaur fossil... So, with the sun setting and clouds rolling in, I drove another 25 miles or so out into the desert on trails you can't believe. I stopped where I thought the dinosaur was, and spent 25 minutes looking for it. Just as I was about to give up -- I found it again! I took several dozen pictures, and I'm more convinced than ever that this is a prehistoric creature -- and a large one! However, judging by other fosils in the area (which are shells -- this area used to be under the sea) it is likely this creature I found is an ocean dinosaur.
On Sunday, November 7, two of my brother's friends, who have a four-wheel-drive, were able to get me and my sister and her future husband to the top of the cliffs. An arduous journey. So, finally, last Sunday, I was able to spread my brother's ashes on top of this 6,000 foot high cliff in the middle of Arizona. It felt right.
I am supposed to show the dinosaur photos (and a small piece of what I believe to be a dinosaur bone which I picked up) to my dinosaur friend, Don Glut, on Thursday. If he thinks it is a dinosaur, he'll take the bone and the photos to the Field Museum in Chicago next week. The Field Museum is one of the biggest dinosaur museums in the world. So that would be cool.
I also learned that the dinosaur is on BLM land. So now I have to contact BLM and see if I can lay claim to the find.
Also, while I was in Kingman I picked up a copy of the local Kingman newspaper, THE DAILY MINER. They have a Clendar of Events in Kingman, and the following was listed: "The local chapter of the Society For Creative Anachronism meets Sundays at 12:30 p.m. in Fireman's Park for fighter practice and populous gatherings."
Isn't that wierd? I haven't seen
or heard anything about the Society for Creative Anachronism for 20 years
and here they are in Kingman, Arizona.
Addendum (11/11/99) -- I showed the photos and the sample bone to my dinosaur
friend, and his eyes popped out. Well, not literally. But he said he's
99% sure I have a prehistoric find and he wants to show the photos not
only to the Field museum, but to his friend who runs the paelentology (sp?)
section of the Smithsonian, as well!
